Kings River Magazine

"It doesn’t matter what you throw at her, she knocks it out of the park.”

Mesh Blog NYC

"Trudy Carmichael is a legend. Generations of musical improvisers have striven to emulate her rhyme schemes, her clever turns of phrase, and her sultry voice- but no one has tried to follow her wild lifestyle, because they would surely die. Don’t miss it!"

The Young-Howse Theater Journal

"Trudy Carmichael (Robin Rothman) is now on my Olympic Pantheon of improvisers."

"Coming to you live from her stylish Las Vegas living room, Trudy Carmichael (aka Robin Rothman) is a gifted musical improviser, which is one of the most impressive skills."

"Rothman clearly has a lot of fun with the wackiness spurred on by audience suggestions and the overall spontaneity."

Shane Taymor
(Portrayed by Sean Taylor)

Sean is a writer, storyteller, actor, producer, host, and Co-owner of the Magnet Theater, NYC alongside his improv mentor and legendary improv guru, Armando Diaz.
Sean came to NYC 20 years ago in the pursuit of a life in comedy. When he's not working/playing at the Magnet Theater, Sean plays as much recreational softball as his schedule will allow, and blogs about (and consumes) pizza every day of October (aka National Pizza Month). Find out more about Sean and his last 19+ years of pizza-eating exploits at
